Are you ready for some football?

Welcome to the Tri-Cities Youth Football Club website!

Home of the Mariners!

Our purpose is to provide a supervised youth tackle football program that promotes both physical fitness and develops good sportsmanship through the instruction of basic athletic fundamentals.

We do this by stressing the importance of hard work, self respect and the respect of others through individual efforts and teamwork.

We promote respect for authority and develop a respect for the rules and regulations that we hope will carry forward into adulthood.

And we have a lot of fun!

Our 2009 season starts August 3rd - Come join us for some football!

 Season

PRACTICES:  Begin Monday, August 3rd at Harbor Island.  Monday – Friday 6-8pm for football players and 6-7:30 for cheerleaders.

Attendance is very important! Football players must have 5 days of conditioning practice prior to contact. Week one will be conditioning only with no contact. August practice will be Monday to Friday (except the Friday before Labor Day) from 6-8:00pm. After the school year begins, September through October will be Tuesday to Thursday from 6-7:30pm.

WHAT TO WEAR:  Football: Week 1 no equipment necessary. Shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes adequate. However, we recommend that players wear cleats (rubber only) to get used to wearing them.

Cheerleaders: Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

EQUIPMENT:  We strongly recommend getting fitted for new equipment prior to the season beginning. Jones Sporting Goods in Muskegon, Play it again Sports or MC Sports all carry necessary equipment. We have set up a swap date for you to buy and sell used equipment on Thursday, August 6 @ 5:00pm at Harbor Island practice field. Representatives from Grand Valley & Jones Sporting Goods will assist in equipment sizing and purchases.  A limited amount of equipment will be available, additional information will be sent home during the first week of practice.

Football Players:  You will need to provide an MHSAA approved white helmet, shoulder pads, athletic supporter and practice pants and jersey. Rubber cleats recommended, not mandatory.

Cheerleaders:  You will need to provide a white turtleneck, white tennis shoes, white socks and royal blue lollies.

TCYFC will provide Football and Cheer uniforms, a full set of pads for game pants and mouthpiece.
