TCRFA Board Meeting Minutes - Feb 22, 2009

TCR Board Meeting
February 22, 2009

Attendees: Terry Flickinger, Sam Geddie, Steve Morris, Jennifer Avery, Mike Robinson, Clair Barfield, Chris Cassels, Marc Santini, Kevin Morgan

The Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.Steve Morris (Treasurer) presented the cost per player analysis that was discussed at prior meeting. Cost per player estimate from 2008 season was agreed upon and put to rest.

Clair Barfield spoke regarding Cheer registration that had taken place and online registration that is still ongoing. Cheer uniform supplier has been confirmed as well as final cost. Cheer will be doing a candle fundraiser to offset cheer uniforms. Clair discussed the fact that Cheer coaches were needed for the upcoming season.

Cheer dates are as follows:

  • March 7- next Cheer sign ups.
  • March 28- first fitting. Uniform will be on hand to view. Sign up’s will be held on this date as well.
  • April 11- last fitting for uniforms
  • End of April will be one make up fitting as needed.

Terry Flickinger announced that Jimi Haire was taking a leave of absence from Director of Fundraising. Terry will be taking over those job duties with the assistance of various Board Members during his absence.

Board discussed the upcoming annual Golf Tournament to be held on May 14th. Individual Board members will be responsible for gaining sponsorship from local merchants. Mike Robinson will be updating website with info on Tournament. Sponsors that are interested currently were reviewed and noted. There will be a special meeting regarding Golf Tournament and all issues dealing with that to be held in two weeks time.

The agenda for that meeting will be as follows:

  • Registration
  • Celebrities  (local and otherwise) to be involved
  • Goodie Bags
  • Trophies
  • Gifts

Chris Cassels discussed the Roster and Sponsor to be handed out at each game. Discussion was had regarding Board Members recruiting local merchants to participate for advertizing.

In light of Tom Brown’s absence from the meeting, all bylaw updates and conversation will be shelved until next regular meeting. NCT meeting to be held this Wed. Sam Geddie & Terry Flickinger will be attending. Due to the leave of absence by Jimi Haire, the Board appointed Chris Cassels to attend in the event of either Sam or Terry’ s absence.

Mike Robinson will be renewing registration with ETeamz. Discussion was had regarding new domain name and the purchase of that for the future. There will be possible links to all TCR sports from that home page.

  • Bylaws
