TCR Board Meeting minutes May 31, 2009
Attendees: Ryan Chitwood, Clair Barfield, Marc Santini, Chris Cassells, Sam Geddie, Amy Diesch, Kevin Morgan, Steve Morris, Jennifer Avery
Visitors: 2nd grade Coach Jimmy Riojas
Meeting began at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting started by a bid from Kinnaird Photography regarding league photos. Debbie Kinnaird spoke to the Board about her company and the services that could be offered to us at this time. Templates, plaques and other items were shown for design possibilities.
Discussions were had to obtain more bids from other photographers and the Board will discuss through email regarding presentations.
Marc Santini spoke to the board regarding a family wishing for their child to play at age level rather than at grade level, which NCT regulates and requires at this time. The family will appeal this decision and TCR will work with the family and within the NCT guidelines to best support the decision and what is best for the child.
Sam Geddie spoke regarding a 3rd sign up to be held on TBD.
The Coaches draft will be held on June 16th with all Coaches attending.
Marc Santini spoke regarding the fact that Medlin Middle School will be unusable until August as it is being reseeded at this time.
Ryan Chitwood spoke regarding Beck Properties and the use of the land for Football practices. Terry Flickinger is handling insurance specs so that the fields can be used for football practices this summer.
The board spoke regarding the situation with the 3rd grade Coaches. Kevin motioned for Jacob West to be named as a Head Coach for 3rd grade. Amy Diesch seconded the motion and all approved of this.
Sam motioned for Caleb Fairchild to be named a 3rd Grade Head Coach. Amy Diesch seconded the motion. 7 votes were in favor of this decision.
The meeting ended at 8:00 p.m.
The next meeting will be tentatively held on Monday June 8 at the Roanoke Rec. Center.
Wednesday, May 6

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting began with Golf tournament discussion and updates. The association received a donation from the Jay Novacek Football Camp as well as other miscellaneous gifts for raffle at the Golf tournament. Chris went over all gifts/ prizes that will be raffled off during the tournament.
Terry, Marc and Sam will be following up on money to be collected from players currently signed up.
Clair made a motion for Amy to run ads in the local paper for football signups. Chris seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
Clair reported on Cheerleading and sign ups there. Currently there are 113 girls signed up for the 2009 season. The second fitting has been held and another one is scheduled for 5/20.
Terry reported that the 08 taxes will be submitted by May 15 and Steve is working on those currently.
There will be a special meeting held on 5/7/09 to discuss Football signups as well as the Golf Tournament.
The next scheduled meeting to be held at the end of May will cover the following issues:
· Football Sign up- follow up
· Photographers
· Cheer update
