Welcome to Titans Ice Hockey!
TC Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia is proud to have two ice hockey teams. The Titans Women -- the only girls high school hockey team in Northern Virginia -- was founded in 2001 and plays in the Maryland Scholastic Hockey League. The Titans Men, founded in 1999, play in the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League. The TC Ice Hockey Club partners with players from a High School in Virginia to increase participation and expand support for the boy's team.
Want to play but don't know anything about hockey? No problem its not to late ! Come to the next interest meeting Friday, 18 December at TCW. You just need an interest in a fun sport that keeps you in great shape -- and teaches teamwork, discipline, and creative thinking. You must be in grades 8 - 12 and meet the academic requirements for sports participation (2.0 grade point average for Alexandria students). 8th graders can practice with their team and play in non-league games, but aren't eligible to play in league games.

Volunteers are needed to help the Hockey Club manage the many small tasks that together make us a great "team" of parents and players. GO to our handouts section, JOB DESCRIPTIONS and review some of the positions available for the season - no prior experience necessary.
What's the season like? The heart of the hockey season is mid-November to late March, and teams typically play 10 to 20 games. Practices last 75 to 90 minutes. Most of our practices are Thursdays at 4pm or Friday at 8:45pm at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Ballston and Wednesdays at 7:30pm at the Tucker Road Ice Rink in Fort Washington, MD. Boys typically play league games on Friday nights or weekends.

Titans Ice Hockey is a club sport and is not funded by the Alexandria City Public Schools. Instead, we are supported by player fees and funds raised by the Titans Ice Hockey Boosters, an independent volunteer group. The Boosters support players with financial needs. Players must join USA Hockey (for insurance) and are responsible for their own equipment (the club has some gear available).

Ice hockey is a club sport at TC Williams, and does not receive funds from the Alexandria School System. The program is supported by club fees paid by the parents, fundraising efforts of the players and parents, and generous contributions from the community. TC Williams is proud to be the only Northern Virginia public school to offer both mens' and womens' ice hockey.
We truly need your financial and moral support. Sponsors for our team would be great, but we also need the support of every individual interested in helping us create a viable and successful hockey program.
