Thompson Boat Center offers Washington area adults an opportunity to enjoy the sport of rowing. Excellent facilities, equipment, coaching, and some of the best water on the East coast combine to offer an ideal situation for new and experienced rowers.
The racing program includes both summer sprints and fall head races. Traditional racing venues include Boston, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Canada, as well as local regattas in DC and Northern Virginia.
Practices are normally scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:45am at Thompson Boat Center.
The boathouse is located in Rock Creek Park along the Potomac River between Washington Harbour in Georgetown and the Watergate. A metered parking lot is located adjacent to the boathouse.
