First of all, we would like to share some information about the Little League program. Little League, founded in 1939 in Williamsport, Pa., is the world's largest youth sports program with more than 2.8 million volunteers in more than 100 countries. More than 30 million people have played in the Little League program. Taylor Northeast Little League played its first season in 1957 and was the first Little League program formed in the City of Taylor. This year, approximately 400 children ages 4 to 18 will compete in several divisions of play in Taylor at Taylor Northeast Little League.
