Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast
Welcome to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is led by Carl R. Lavender, Jr., and has as its goal "to influence the behavior and the attitudes of each individual boy and girl in a wholesome manner."  To accomplish this goal, B&GCS provides services based on principles of behavior guidance that will enable the health, social, educational, vocational, character and leadership development of its members.

As members of the clubs, boys and girls age through 17 find a wide array of activities available during club after school operating hours through which youth can develop special skills and talents.

Activities at Boys & Girls Clubs include computer learning and technology; informal counseling sessions; sports teams; tutoring and homework assistance; intergenerational programs, teen centers; civic involvement and community service; teen councils; LIT (Leaders-In-Training - a program developed to help Boys & Girls Club youth become the leaders of tomorrow); performing arts and recording studio; Keystone leadership Clubs, Torch leadership Clubs (leadership groups for 11-13 year olds), and  the SMART Moves Program  teaching children and youth to avoid the risks associated with alcohol and drug abuse, among many other program offerings.
