Tampa Bay Sentinels
The Tampa Bay Sentinels is the 3rd public safety football team to join the National Public Safety League from Tampa. The first Tampa Bay team to join the N.P.S.F.L was the Tampa Bay Guardians which represented Tampa Bay area from 1993-1999. In 2000 the team split apart with half of the team going to the Orlando area and forming the now Orlando Guardians and the other half staying in the Tampa Bay area forming the Pinellas Posse later called the Tampa Bay Posse. The Tampa Bay Posse represented the bay area from 2000-2003.
The Tampa Bay Sentinels which is now the 3rd Tampa Bay team began play in the 2008 season. After going 0-8 in two seasons, the Sentinels brought back the Founder and original Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Guardians, Jim Gaczewski who is bringing back a no nonsense and smashmouth style of football to the Tampa Bay area.
