The Tampa Bay Sentinels football team operates under the direction of the Tampa Bay Public Safety Charity, Inc. (TBPSC) as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

The Tampa Bay Sentinels is a public safety football team, consisting of Law Enforcement, Corrections, Probation/Parole Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics/EMT's from around the Tampa Bay area.  The team is currently represented by 15 local public safety agencies from Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee Counties.  We compete in the National Public Safety Football League (www.NPSFL.com), along with approximately 21 other public safety teams from across the nation, for the annual NPSFL National Championship.  All teams raise money during the course of the season for local charities.  The Sentinels raises money to support the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast and the Up with Downs of Pinellas.

The NPSFL season begins in January and ends in June.  Each team plays a 4 game schedule, 2 home and 2 away.  Games played in addition to the 4 game schedule are considered non-league games.

Our new Head Coach and coaching staff has already begun preperations for the 2010 season which they are committed to bringing winning back to the Tampa Bay area.

To be eligible as a player, one must meet the following criteria:

- Law Enforcement Officer

- Firefighter

- Corrections Officer

- Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician

- Probation/Parole Officer

- or, active-duty military in a related public safety career field.

Remembering our Fallen Officers 

The Sentinels will be remembering and honoring Cpl. Mike Roberts from Tampa Police Department and Sgt. Ronnie Brown from Polk County Sheriff's Office during the 2010 season.  Each player will wear on their helmets, a TPD badge with Cpl. Roberts number and Sheriff's star with Sgt. Brown's number.

The Sentinels would like to welcome the South Carolina (Charleston) Commanders to the league, One of three new NPSFL teams.  The other two teams are Chicago Fire and Roanoke Rush.
