Volunteers Needed

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you want to manage a team, be an assistant coach or even the team/dugout mom(parent)? You must turn in a 2015 Little League Volunteer Form with a copy of your driver license to Tamarac Little League (at the concession stand).

Little League Baseball requires local leagues to run a background check on every volunteer who will have any contact with the players/children. You must complete a 2015 Little League Volunteer Form, including your social security number and a clear, readable photocopy of your driver license.

If you did not complete a background check in 2014, please use the 2015 New Volunteer Application.

If you completed a Tamarac Little League background check in the spring of 2014, you may use the 2015 Returning Volunteer Application.

In addition, the City of Tamarac requires a Level II background check for all volunteers in any youth sports organization operating in the city. This type of background check requires a set of fingerprints.

Little League requires every volunteer have a background check every year.  City of Tamarac fingerprint checks are good for 3 years.

DO NOT USE THE CITY'S VOLUNTEER FORMS OR TURN IN VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS TO THE CITY/COMMUNITY CENTER.
Tamarac Little League runs its own background checks in addition to the city.  You must complete and pass both.

Think You Know Baseball?

Think you know baseball?

Check your knowledge against these Little League Baseball Rule Myths. Ball hits the batters hands? It's a strike if the batter's wrists break? Batted ball hits the plate first? Runner must slide? Obstruction? Interference? Tie goes to the runner? We've certainly heard a few of these.
