2008 NYS Tournament Results
Mount Vernon, NY, Mar. 7-9 - The Syracuse Stars U19 season concluded
with the NY State Tournament where the Stars compiled a record of 3-2.
After a promising 4-0 opening win over Troy/Albany the Stars came up
short in a hard fought contest with the National Sports Academy.
Trailing 1-3, the Stars rallied to tie the score with just over four
minutes remaining in the 3rd period; however, NSA quickly retook the
lead and then closed out the scoring with an insurance marker in the
last minute of play. Final score, 3-5. That left the Stars needing to
defeat the Buffalo Bisons the next day in order to advance to the
championship game. Against Buffalo, it came down to special teams play and with two power play goals, one short-handed goal and a break-away
goal by a player just released from the penalty box, it was the Bisons
who carried the day. Final score, 1-5. Congratulations to Buffalo who
went on to defeat NSA 3-2 (2 OT) and will represent New York at the USA Hockey National Championship.

2007 National Tournament Results
San Jose, CA, Mar. 28-30 – Despite winless in three games, the USA Hockey National Championship tournament was a proud and satisfying conclusion to the Syracuse Stars 2006-07 season. Worthy of the New York State Champion title they hold, the Stars competed with the heart and doggedness that was their hallmark throughout the 06-07 campaign. The Stars had drawn a difficult preliminary round schedule - all three opponents went on to reach the semifinals, including the eventual national champion – and the Stars did not advance to elimination play.
2007 NYS Champion!
Syracuse, NY, Mar. 9-11 - The Syracuse Stars finished undefeated following a grueling tournament schedule of six games in three days that included three consecutive 7:00am starts, to win the 2007 19 & Under NYS Championship. The Stars represented New York at the USA Hockey National Championship in San Jose, CA, March 28 - April 1.
2006 NYS Runner-Up
Lake George, NY, Mar. 10-12 - The 2005-2006 season came to a close for the Syracuse Stars U19 losing to the Ice Cats of Troy/Albany by a score of 4-3 in the championship game of the New York State Tournament. The Stars congratulate the Ice Cats on winning the state title and representing New York at the USA Hockey National Championship.
The U19's would also like to congratulate the Stars U14 and U16 teams on winning their state championships and representing the Stars organization and New York State so well. Go Stars!

Stars Take Silver at Nationals!
Centennial, CO, Mar. 30-Apr.3 - The Syracuse Stars made a great run at the USA Hockey 19 & Under title and proudly returned home with the silver runner-up trophy. A string of five two-goal victories propelled the Stars into the championship game where they fell 6-2 to a deserving Shattuck St. Mary's team. With a core of seniors playing their last games as a Syracuse Star, the accomplishment at the 2005 National Championship is one to remember.
2005 NYS Champion!
Mount Vernon, NY, Mar. 11-13 - With a 5-2 win over the Troy/Albany Ice Cats the Syracuse Stars captured the 2005 19 & Under NYS Championship and will represent New York at the USA Hockey national tournament in Colorado March 30 - April 3.
U16 Stars - 2004 National Champion!
Rochester, NY, Mar. 31-Apr. 4 - The U16 Syracuse Stars became the 2004 National Champion after completing a sweep of the U16 division at the USA Hockey National Championships in Rochester, NY. With a 3-1 victory over Honeybaked (MI) in the championship game the Stars ended the tournament the same way they began. The Stars scored the first goal in every game and never trailed the entire tournament on the way to out scoring its opponents 22 to 8 and finishing undefeated with a record of 6-0-0.
U16 Stars - 2004 NYS Champion
Buffalo, NY, Mar. 12-14 - The Syracuse Stars U16 is the 2004 State Champion and will represent the New York District at the USA Hockey National Championship March 31-April 4 in Rochester, NY. With a hard fought 4-1 victory over Rochester in the championship game, the Stars captured the title with an undefeated record of 6-0-0.
