SYHC looking for HD candidates: Strongsville Youth Hockey Organization is currently seeking applications for up to two Hockey Director positions.  For the past two years, this position has been filled with two co-directors and it is our intent to split this position into two Hockey Director positions for the 2010-2011 season. The current directors have been in place several years and would like to encourage energetic individuals to come in and continue to build the program. Our club philosophy centers around skill development of players and developing coaches.  We have a great group of coaches that are proactively involved in helping to create and execute the clubs visions and philosophy. We have incorporated many new programs and have also gone to a birth year format to better enable age specific skill development in our players.  SYHC leverages a curriculum that is derived from Hockey Canada and USA Hockey best practices.  We also have begun collecting quantitative data on all of our players several times a year to be able to track player development in key skill areas. The role of Hockey Director is simple.  Oversee the development of players and coaches in the organization.  The role is accountable to our board of directors who in turn are accountable to our club members.   If you would like to become a part of the hockey program at Strongsville Youth Hockey Club we would love to talk to you.  We strongly encourage individuals with a high degree of personal integrity and ability to put self interests aside to apply. Please feel free to contact either one of our Hockey Directors (Mike Bell BGAlum@aol.com or Chuck Baddley coachbaddely@yahoo.com ) or our club President Janet Martineau martineau@wowway.com with any questions or to discuss in more detail the roles and responsibility of the position.  You can also simply fill out an application located in the Coaching Application link to the left and submit via email or mail to SYHC P.O.
