They are coming off of winning the 2008 James Monroe Holiday Tournament, in which 28 teams, representing all five boroughs of NYC, participated. After completing a competitive seven-inning scrimmage, the Wildcats and their families hosted Monroe to a family style barbeque. Players from both teams ate, mingled together and shared baseball stories during the barbeque. The plan is to continue this tradition each year, including a trip to the Bronx for SWR.
