 SPRING 2010 NEWS an INFORMATION 

Southwest Little League has grown!  This year we will have 11 - T Ball Teams, 11- C League Teams (coach pitch), 11 – B League Teams (minor league), 9 A League Teams (major division), 7 Jr. League Teams, 3- C League Softball (coach pitch), 6 – A League Softball Teams (major division) and 3 – Jr. / Sr. Softball Teams! For those of you who are counting we have registered over 740 players at our park, which is wonderful!  Due to the volume of players we currently have a waiting list in all divisions except C League Softball {girl’s league age 6, 7 & 8} with a limited number of openings available.  

If you are interested in placing your child on the waiting list you must come to the field and fill out an application form at the office.  Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing if or when your child will be moved from the waiting list.

If you have not heard from your child’s coach yet, please don’t panic.  Rosters have been finalized; however we are still looking for a few coaches / managers.  Please give the coach until Friday, January 29th, 2010 to contact you.  If you have not heard from your child’s coach by then please contact Becky, the Player Agent by calling 772-626-2241.

Team Sponsorship:  The deadline has passed to place a sponsor on the back of uniforms; however there are many other ways to show your support and promote your business.  Please pick up a sponsorship form at the league office or speak with a board member for assistance.   Thank you for your support.

Weather Watch

South Florida is known for its tropical climate.  It's also known for rain, and lots of it.  If you want to know if your game is on or cancelled due to the weather check here between 4pm and 5pm.  All weather related cancellations will be posted as soon as the city says the fields are unplayable...sometimes that's only minutes before game time, but they are the ones to make the decision. 

Remember just because it's raining in your neighborhood doesn't mean the game is cancelled.  Always wait to hear from your coach, league official, or right here on www.swpsl.com.
