Preview vs. ECU and Langston
After a long preseason which included participation in indoor soccer at SoccerCityOKC, 4 teams from the club that participated in the SWOSU indoor soccer intramural league, strong outdoor practices and great team bonding, the SWOSU soccer club looks to make history this season. The bulldogs go into the spring season on a rebuilding scale in every aspect. The team has relied less on the individual contribution and much more on a collective team. The bulldogs are a strong contendor at winning the D-2 league if the team sticks together. With the addition of 9 new players, the squad is at an all time high as to expectations. This weekend is crucial as SWOSU has 2 home games which are both must wins if SWOSU aspires to go to state playoffs. First SWOSU plays a team that has developed somewhat of a rivalry against ECU. ECU has never visited SWOSU as they have forfeited twice but this season each team only has 6 games, which surely puts ECU in an obligated position of playing Saturday at the SWOSU soccer complex at 2pm. SWOSU also plays Langston 2pm at home on Sunday. Langston is a new program and surely will be playing their hearts out at their first game in program history.
