Year End Party - Board Election - Monday 6/29 6-9pm at iTZ (SH249 at FM1960)
Note from the President:
At our year end party, we will have an election for the Mariners Board. We have staggered terms, so last year there were five board positions to fill and this year there are four. Of the four, two are board members that are re-running. One of the four, Mark Oelke, was appointed to replace a board member that left after our election last year. The last of the four is a new parent for the board, Lisa Sartor, that approached the board last year at Divisionals asking to run for an open position. Last year there were no vacancies.
We will have the four names listed on the ballot at the year end party. There will be a place for a write in name. Please know that if a member at large is elected by write in, that person will be running for any board position that is left, not one particular position. If someone that has been doing a job is not re-elected, the board may shift and the new person will receive whatever position is left.
A parent approached me this year before the season started regarding a board position. Our ballot is full, but this person will be approached first if there is a vacancy during the year. If you have an interest and are willing to commit to our team year round in a board position, please let me know by email or at the year end party.

About the Mariners:
Invitational Information - Pentathalon (June 14)
Pentathlon entries are due Saturday. There is no form necessary. All you need to do is submit your $20 payment, made to the Mariners. The meet is Sunday, June 14th at Klein Forest. Swimmers that were eligible for Summer Thunder should be qualified, as long as they are able to do all 5 strokes without disqualification. Payment can be given to Michele Miller, put in her file box at the Colony Creek pool this week, given to her at the swim meet Saturday, or at Berryhill after the meet. The deadline is Saturday at 6pm at Berryhill.
