Volunteers Needed....No Experience Necessary
The Southwest Austin Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading program would like to invite you to volunteer some of your time to help us keep our program running successfully.
Each year, since the inception of our program, our numbers have increased steadily in both football and cheerleading. As the number of children in our program increases, so should the number of our parent volunteers.
Help is always needed during the season for jobs such as play checking, running the chains, field set up, working in the concession stand, helping with fundraising and much much more. Please become actively involved in your child's football or cheerleading experience by helping out whenever you can.
For many, volunteering for this program does not end when the season ends. The members of our board, and a few other parent volunteers work year round to keep this program going strong. Please feel free to contact any one of our board members if you would like to help out with things during the season.
Parent volunteers is why Southwest Austin Pop Warner is such a successful association.
Pop Warner Mandatory Background Checks
Starting with the 2003 season, Pop Warner programs nationwide will be required to annually conduct a background check of: Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and/or cheer participants. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect the children.
