The FAMILY Inc.: Family News: 08/09 Post School Season Honors

With the new travel season upon us, now would be a good time to pause and take a last look back at the 08/09 school season.  

 The 4A State Championship become a true Family Feud as advertised, featuring undefeated South Bend Washington with Skylar Diggins and Jasmine Watson squaring off vs an undefeated Ben Davis and Alex Bentley in the "mythical" national high school championship.  The game came down to the wire, but Ben Davis prevailed in the end to be recognized as the top team in both the state and nation.   

The 3A Family Feud turned out to be more Feud than Family, as  Fort Wayne Elmhurst was the only "Family" team to make it to the final.  But congrats to Family members Lacretia Smith, Liza Clemmons, and Lacia Gorman for representing the program well by winning the 3A State championship!

Here on the site we have featured several articles recounting Skylars many honors, and our top ranked teams march to the state final.  But before closing the book on the 0/09 season lets take a few moments to recognize a  few of our other great players and their post season honors and awards.
