Devils Lose Opener to South Side Beaver The Devils dropped their 2007 season opener tonight against the SS Beaver Rams who by beating Sharpsville tonight, avenged lasts year's season opening loss. The Devils scored first on their opening drive which basically was a grinding ground attack but missed the PAT for a 6-0 lead. The rest of the scoring was all SS Beaver who came away with a 14-6 win. The Devils ground game was neutralized and their air attack just couldn't get anything going. We move on to take on Farrell at home next week.
Sharpsville Celebrates its 2007 Edition of Meet the Devils. In what has become an annual tradition for the Devil Nation, Sharpsville fans came out tonight to meet the 2007 fall sports athletes, cheerleaders, and band members . Check the albums page for pictures.
Comeback Bid Against Farrell Falls Short The Devils fell behind 21 to 6 in the first half of their Class A opener against Farrell. Their defense pitched a shutout in the second half and Sharpsville made a strong comeback effort but unfortunately it fell four yards short late in the forth quarter as Farrell held on for the 21-15 win. Devils Pick Up First Win of the Season on the Road The chilly skies were friendly to the visiting Devils as they made their debut appearance in West Middlesex's new digs last night, coming away with a blowout 28-6 win over their Class A rivals. Turnovers proved deadly to the Reds and after taking a 6-0 lead on their first possession, the Devils ran off 28 unanswered points in the big win. Check out the album section for all the pics.
Devils Mauled by Lions Well, it wasn't pretty. The Devils fresh off their big win against Single A West Middlesex got trounced by their Single A foes to the north, the Linesville Lions 48-0. See the album section for a few pics.
Devils Scalped by the Indians of The Lake Early on it looked like the Devils were going to cruise to their second win of the season but that's why they play the second half! After jumping out to a 21-6 lead, the host Conneaut Lake Indians ran off 31 strait points in a come from behind win 37-21. This loss drops the Devils to 1-4 on the year. Happy Homecoming as Devils Defeat Lakeview The Devils picked up win number two by defeating visiting Lakeview 33-18 in this year's Homecoming Game. See the albums section for pics.
Devils Torch Eagles The Devils evened their record at 3-3 with a demolition of arch rival Kennedy Catholic on Saturday afternoon. With the mercy rule in effect the entire second half, the Devils came away with a 47-12 victory. See the pics in the album section. |
