  Question  Billing Secure?
I know the site claims to have secure billing, but why does the page where I enter a credit card number show "http" not "https"?

Hi,

This question has come up several times, where members do not think the plus
purchase process does not take place on a secure, encrypted page. The
page is indeed secure, however the following factors may lead people to
believe it is not:

1) eteamz does not put users on to the secure server until it's time to enter
their credit card. For example, the page where they select what items
to purchase is not secure.

2) The admin panel uses frames, which takes away 2 things you would normally look for:
a)the lock icon on the bottom of the screen and
b) https:// in their address bar

The secure connection can be verified by using the right mouse button to
click on the page "Checkout and billing - step 2 of 2" and then
selecting properties. The information displayed verifies the encrypted
connection (SSL 3.0 128-bit encyption) and clicking the button labelled
"Certificates" shows our secure certificate, guaranteeing our identity
of eteamz.active.com. VeriSign is the company vouching for our
identity; clicking on the Verisign secure site icon verifies they know
who we are, but not that the particular page is secure. The stuff on
the properties screen actually shows that the page is secure.
