Travis was All-State at Cleveland High School. He was drafted twice by the Detroit Tigers. He played collegiately at Cleveland State Community College and Lee University. He played in the Cyclones organization as an 18U fall and summer player and collegiately with the Collegiate Cyclones as well. Travis was one of the most versatile players ever to wear a Cyclones uniform, playing above average defensively at 5 different positions. He is an instructor at Real Sports Academy and has coached on several summer and fall Cyclones teams.
