Panthers end season with big win.
The Panthers ended the regular season today with a big win over the LV Fury 63-6. Yeah, Yeah I know 6 points for the Fury. Almost the end of the 3rd quarter they ran this tricky little play that got them their first touchdown of the season. It was not the starting defense, but was still a good play by them. The Panthers end the season at 3-6. We have played much better than our record shows losing 3 games this year with less than 2 minutes to go. This is the best 3 win team I have ever seen and if you boys can pull it together we can win the first two rounds to make the championship.
The offense didnt put up big yards as we had great field position all day and it only took no more than 2 plays to score. However the Offense did put up 6 TD. 1 passing TD and 5 on the ground. The defense and Special Teams got into the game this week as well putting up 3 more TD. The Panther offense didnt see a 3rd down all day and the defense didnt give up a first down all day.
Offensive Leaders:
Dezerick Reed - 56 yds Rushing and 2 TD.
Jordan Russell - 80 yds Rushing and 2 TD
David Ward - 60 yds Passing 1TD and 15 Rushing and 1TD.
Zackary Houseman - 3 for 3 on 2 point conversions.
Jon Barajas - 30 yds Recieving for 1TD.
Defensive Leaders:
Jordan Russell 8 tackles, JT 6 Tackles and Fumble Rec. for TD, David Ward 5 Tackles a Saftey and a Sack, Jimaul Jones with 2 Tackles 2 Sacks a Fumble Rec. For TD and a 70 yd kick return for a TD.
It was a good day for the Panthers, hopefully we can ride the momentium into the playoffs as we did after our first win over the LV Fury when we handed the Aggies one of their 2 losses on the year. Practices will be mandatory all week and I let you know about the Huskies, Predator game as soon as I hear the score.
