Panthers Dominate in 48-0 Win
This weekend the Panthers played the LV Fury and dominated on both sides of the ball. Granted the Fury are a very young team, but it sure felt good to move the ball and score some points. We had many players with a big game. Dezerick Reed had 2 rushing TD and 1 recieving TD and a kick return for TD, Jon Barajas also had 1 recieving TD and 1 rushing TD. Little Man Jon Ward returned a Fury punt for a 30 yd TD return. The biggest surprise was the return of QB David Ward. Coming off a knee injuy in week 2 with the Predators, David was thought to be out for the entire season, but you can't hold a good kid down as David passed for 100yds and 2 TD and ran 3 times for another 25 yds. He played the entire game and was suppossed to only play a couple of series. The knee seems to be very good right now and David is expected to make a return to the defense next weekend when we play the Aggies who lost today 26-0 to the Spartans.
We played good today and everybody seemed to have a great attitude, something we lacked in weeks 2 and 3. We really needed this win to help boost the confiedence of the team. Hopefully this will be the turning point of the Panther season and we are very exicted to play next week and pick up right where we left off.
