2009 Spring Teenie Tiny Tourney

Hosted by HGSA and Sunrise 

This season was an exciting event.  7 Sunrise teams and 4 HGSA teams, battled for the right to call them selves "The Teenie Tiny Tourney Champs"!!

It was game on, complete with Pool Play and Single Elimination for these 8 & Unders!! The end result was an 8 & Under game like you have never seen, double plays, tagging up, pop flys, you name it, they really needed an umpire out there!!  Back and fourth, in and out, it was a site to see.  Oh we can't forget about the 2 innings of true international tie breaker to top it all off!!  What would a championship game be without all the bells and whistles, right?

After the dust cleared, all the runs scored, and all the fans were hoarse from cheering - it was the Dodgers who took it by 1 run and six innings later.  AWESOME job HGSA!! 

To add to the excitment, we witnessed the BEST sportsmanship in history, between parents, players and staff alike!!  It didn't matter what color jersey they had on if they made a great play or had a great hit, both sides were cheering them on!!!  Way to go guys, that's really what its all about.................

Sunrise would also like to mention that these teams made history this year with TWO teams placing, a Sunrise first, GREAT JOB SUNRISE!!

Congratulations to the Lady Bugs close behind taking 3rd place ~~~~~~~~~~~ Whos game also went into international tie breaker, WOW!

SUNRISE IS VERY PROUD OF OUR TEAMS, PLAYERS AND STAFF!!!
