National Brain Tumor Foundation - (Click here)
Last year in 2007, one of our very own coaches has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. However, due to his love of the game and for the kids, he has still been here to manage the Majors team, the Cubs. Despite his health, we can all agree that he has done and continues to do a terrific job.
Bill and his wife Deb Nowlin would appreciate any support you can give. Bill and Deb will be involved in the upcoming Brain Tumor Walk and Angel Adventure and are asking for support and sponsors. Here is a link to their website if you would like more information or would like to sponsor.
We would also like to thank Matt Collins, a player on the Cubs for donating his hair to the brain tumor foundation. Matt had the courage and sincerity to allow Bill Nowlin to cut his hair 10 inches to donate to the cause (during the ceremony) and to show his support for his coach and long time friend. What a trooper!!!!!! This shows that Sunnyvale National is home of friends and family.
