Welcome to the Summit Volleyball Club website!
Summit Volleyball Club is providing volleyball at all skill levels to girls ages 10-18 throughout San Diego county. Our practice gyms are located at the Boys and Girls Clubs of East County's Santee and Lakeside clubhouses, as well as our new north county branch practicing in the Rancho Bernardo/4S Ranch area. Teams practice at a location convenient to them. The tryouts and open gyms are held in Santee, and the address there is 8820 Tamberly Way (near Santee Trolley Center off Mission Gorge). Some practices for the winter/spring season are held at the Lakeside Boys and Girls Club.
Our mission is to provide a club experience to girls ages 10-18 in San Diego County at a cost lower than any other comparable club. Don't let our cost fool you! Players are making varsity as freshman and younger teams are competing in travel tournaments at the highest levels. Our philosophy is to provide an atmosphere where athletes can develop solid technique and knowledge about the sport of volleyball, but they will also learn life skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, self-esteem and responsibility. Our cost is well below other clubs offering a similar experience, and fundraising opportunities provide additional assistance to those who need it. We also recently added a recreation level of play three times a year to provide a low-commitment, low-cost introduction to the sport with trained coaches providing instruction.
Each season will offer something different, with the main club season being January through May. Local teams will also be offered in the fall for girls in all age groups, including those high school girls who are not playing for their high school.
Our annual offerings include:
January-May is the main club season. Teams in age groups 12s, 14s and high school playing locally. We also offer 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s travel teams.
Mid-August - October is the fall season. This is all local and will have teams in all age groups: 12s, 14s and high school.
We have three sessions: spring, summer and fall. Once a week for 8 weeks, players are introduced to the sport of volleyball. Practices and games are held internally and teams are coached by club coaches and volunteers. All participants receive a shirt.
