SummitVolleyball: Welcome

Summit Volleyball Club

Welcome to the Summit Volleyball Club website!

Summit Volleyball Club is providing volleyball at all skill levels to boys and girls ages 10-18 throughout east county San Diego. Our home gym is at the Boys and Girls Clubs of East County's Santee clubhouse. All practices and camps are at this location. The address there is 8820 Tamberly Way in Santee (near Santee Trolley Center off Mission Gorge).

Our mission is to provide a club level experience to girls ages 10-18 in east San Diego County. We are also starting to open this opportunity up to boys, as well. Our philosophy is to provide an atmosphere where athletes can develop solid technique and knowledge about the sport of volleyball, but they will also learn life skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, self-esteem and responsibility. Our cost is well below other clubs offering a similar experience, and fundraising opportunities provide assistance to those who need it. We also recently added a recreation level of play to provide a low-commitment, low-cost introduction to the sport.

Each season will offer something different, with the main club season being January through May. County level play will also be offered in the fall for girls in all age groups, including those high school girls who are not playing for their high school.

FREE BONUS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGE 11-15: SDSU players and coaches will be running a FREE CLINIC June 18th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Boys and Girls Club in Santee. No experience necessary!

Our annual offerings include:

January-May is the main club season. Teams in age groups 12s, 14s and high school playing locally and a 16s and 18s travel team.

Mid-August - October is the fall season. This is all local and will have teams in all age groups: 12s, 14s and high school.

The goal is to have three sessions: spring, summer and fall. Once a week for 8 weeks, players are introduced to the sport of volleyball. Practices and games are held internally and teams are coached by volunteers, who have gone through a training session. Practices/games are still supervised by an experienced club coach.

Once a week, for seven weeks, players can work on developing skills. Also, two summer camps are offered. Those are Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30 PM.

NOVEMBER and DECEMBER are tryouts times for forming the club teams. Specific dates will be posted toward the end of summer.

Registration paperwork can be downloaded from the handouts page.
