The Massachusetts Independent Baseball League was established in 2000 for competition at all levels. Over time, the M.I.B.L.'s competitive level has risen dramatically.
During the first 6 years of existance the MIBL grew rapidly to a 16 team league. However, in year (7), we've dropped two teams, as merges took place in an effort for teams to compete for the MIBL Championship in 2006. The MIBL features teams from Dorchester, Quincy, Avon, Taunton, Lakeville, Middleboro, Brockton, and Pawtucket Rhode Island.
Teams include players from all over the South Shore of Massachusetts including Brockton, Dorchester, Randolph, Holbrook, Middleboro, Stoughton, Whitman, Abington, Easton, Braintree, Attleboro, East and West Bridgewater, Rockland and South Boston.
More to come stay tuned......
Personal thanks go out to my wife Kelly & daughters Kayla and Kelsey for being supportive of the MIBL, the late Paul Wilgoren for his role in coordinating umpires through our first 5 years, Dwight Williams for stepping to the plate after Paul's retirement and doing a fine job for the past three years, Frankee and Christos Alexopoulos for being key players in establishing the MIBL Website and of course for their effort to strengthen the MIBL's competition, my Nephew Stephen for assisting with the creation of the MIBL home page, and to all my managers that have supported the MIBL with leadership, hard work, and dedication. This league is nothing with out all of you, and I can't thank you enough for hard work and friendship.
