Registration deadline for Co-Rec basketball is January 17, 2008. Games are scheduled during regular intramural basketball times - Sunday-Thursday evenings - in Flanagan Gym. Teams will be placed on the schedule after attending the MANDATORY managers' meeting on January 23, 2007 at 7:30 in Archbold. There is also a $20 refundable forfeit fee which must be paid prior to the meeting in the Recreation office, 2341 Archbold gym.
Note: All basketball teams must play in matching shirts, numbered at least on the back. You may provide your own shirts (you tell us the color) or purchase them through Rec. Services at $4.00/shirt (you tell us the sizes, M-XXL). The order form is available under Handouts.
As teams register, they are placed on the teams list on the main basketball page (#01 on the main web page!). Games schedules will also be posted on that page - after the 1/23 managers' meeting.
Please remember, all teams MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 MEN AND 3 WOMEN for each game to avoid a forfeit!
Reminder, ALL players must surrender their own SUID card to the referees at the beginning of each game. The manager of the team will collect those ID cards from the referees after the game and return them to his/her teammates.
Co-rec rules include:
4 10 minute quarters.
1st and 3rd quarters are played with 3 women and two men on the court at a time.
2nd and 4th quarters are played with 3 men and two women.
Zone guarding is not permitted. All players must only guard players of the same gender, including in the case of a fast break or drive to the basket.
