NOTICE FOR AMERICAN LEAGUE:
Team Raiders' home games  have reverted
and will be played at Bellport 2 Field for the rest
of the season.
(This change is now reflected here on the website;
copies of the new schedule will be distributed on Thursday, July 2)

ROUND ROBIN TIE GAME RESOLUTIONS EXPLAINED:

2nd / 3rd   **   at 17 - 3   **   goes to the BLUE JAYS (0-0) over the CHIEFS (0-0) via fewest runs allowed vs. the league (130-176)

4th / 5th   **   at 14 - 8   **   goes to the GREYS (1-1) over the PATRIOTS (1-1) via fewest runs allowed head-to-head (14-17)

7th / 8th / 9th   **   at 7 - 15   **   goes to the HORNETS (4-0) over the BULLDOGS (2-2) and the STATESMEN (0-4) via head-to-head games won

10th / 11th   **   at 6 - 16   **   goes to the KNIGHTS (1-1) over the DUKES (1-1) via fewest runs allowed head-to-head (17-30)

 

  

The artificial turf fields are endangered! Proper disposal of chewing gum is a must!     ***     Smoking is prohibited on all Town Fields! Careless behaviors on or near the artificial turf fields could jeopardize our permission to use these coveted fields *******

August 11, 2008 - Remembering a respected and beloved softball player

***  THE STATESMEN   ***   TOGETHER TO HONOR ANGELO RAGONE  ***  THE PATRIOTS   ***

Teammates, friends and the extended family of Angelo Ragone together retired his jersey and the number 9. The teams then split a commemorative doubleheader. Very fitting.
