A big thank you to all the parents and players who came out for the SI tryouts on Dec 19th. The coaches were very impressed with the level of talent on the field. Because of the huge turnout we've decided to do "call backs" and have another tryout Saturday,January 2nd to finalize our roster. Thank you again to everyone who came out and we hope you all have a wonderful Holiday!!

Coaching Staff & Families
The Sudden Impact 97's are a second year 12U team that is looking for experienced players with speed and power who have a true passion for the game. This team has a very talented core and is based out of Corona. We are looking for a speedy slapper, #1 pitcher, #1 catcher, middle infielders and utility players with strong offensive skills. Exceptional 98's will also be considered. The focus will be on development of the student athlete in a positive, structured and safe environment. We will teach proper fundamentals and emphasize the value of teamwork, respect, dedication, passion, perseverance and hard work. We will teach these young ladies the finer points of fastpitch softball and prepare them for the next level ... 14U!
The Sudden Impact Organization was established in 1983 by Skip Matulik (current 18 Gold Coach). The organization knows how to develop student athletes and has had over 400 players attend college on a softball scholarship. Seven of Skip's former players have even become college All-Americans. The goal is to help each and every player reach their greatest potential. The organization has teams in 18U, 16U, 14U and 12U. We will continue the winning tradition of this outstanding organization and compete at the highest level possible.
This SI 97 team has an outstanding coaching staff with over 20 years of playing and coaching experience. This team will be coached by Shane Fry, Brian Coleman and Joe Ramirez. These coaches have experience with the Corona Eliminators and Corona Angels organizations and they know how to develop players and they have a proven recipe for success. This team will hit and train at EM speed and power training every Wednesday from 6-8pm. We will also train at a beautiful private practice facility in Riverside on Saturday mornings, the Sudden Impact "Field of Dreams". We will compete in 1 tournament every month and focus on ASA, Triple Crown, USSSA and AFA. We will have a team goal of qualifying and competing at USA/ASA Nationals in Bloomington, Indiana in 2010. If you want your daughter to learn the proper fundamentals and be pushed and challenged as an athlete in a positive/structured environment, then come to our tryout.
If you are not happy with your current team and/or if you are not getting the playing time that you were promised, please give us a call. We will only roster 12-13 players to maximize the playing time for everyone. So if you are interested in being part of something special, please come check us out.
We will be having tryouts/call backs on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 to finalize our roster. We will post our field location for tryouts very soon.
