| Things are going well for the rebroadcasting of the STYFC games! Currently Tioga, Spencer, and Owego have ALL of their games covered. I'm looking for more videographers to fill the remaining games. The videographers WILL get paid! Find my ad in Craig's list in Ithaca and Binghamton under Jobs/TV-Radio. |

On the STYFC home page is an announcent that there are videos of some STYFC games on my website. This site is free and currently the only games that are available are of the Spencer 7-8 yo division. This site is not to be a promotion for Spencer EXCLUSIVELY, but for the STYFC. The problem is I don't have footage of other teams or divisions. If you have footage that you would like to see posted, contact me!!
Also, I'd like to get as much of the 2008 season as possible, but I need HELP!!! If you are interested in contributing, contact me! |

| I'm glad so many teams had a good year. I'm sure many of the players were able to learn a lot. I know that some of your players were able to attend the Synergy Athletics summer camp this past July. I would like announce that the Synergy Athletics winter camp and 7 on 7 tournament has been scheduled for Feb. 16th. So I don't take up too much space on the messageboard, please visit www.synergy-athletics.com for more details and registration information. Thanks for your time and have another great year!!!! |

Congratulations to all of the Super Bowl winners! S-VE A team-you guys are truly impressive. For those whom didn't come out on top: keep your heads up and work hard for next year (especially any Meteors out there reading this)
Here's a challenge to every team out there: find a parent or other volunteer to utilize your team's personal web page that is provided on this site...let's share those accomplishments and exciting moments with each other through pictures and words.
(you can also complain about your coaches, kids, and fellow parents on your own personal message board and guestbook so that dirty laundry isn't aired out quite so publicly...LOL)
Looking forward to 2008! |

| I agree with what you are saying Tioga. Great coaches make some athletes willing to put forth the needed effort to continue to succeed, and teach their players about respect, pride and determination. |

I played football for 10 yrs at Tioga starting with flag and remember all my coaches some good some bad and a few great. Those people were a huge influence on me and in the 7 yrs I have coached I am seeing it come full circle. Those coaches put us in the weight room, put us through hell in double sessions so we were ready for the season and most of all they taught us respect.
If you as a coach do not have the respect from your players no matter what the age or level you will never have your teams full potential.Coaching does matter!!!!
Great job SV,and the Spencer teams.Cant wait till next year.............Hope nobody took my picks to the bank.lol. |

| Although I believe that coaching has a lot to do with it, it isn't everything. The number 1 factor is the player's commitment to the program. Many youth programs are successful because they have a couple of quality athletes who stand out and can change the course of a game. By the time that these players reach the varsity level many of the players on the opposing teams have caught up to those players ability. For that kid to continue to be successful he has to be willing to do the extras, hit the weight room etc. The coaches can encourage the athlete, but the commitment to excel has to be on the part of the athlete. Chenango Forks and Walton a prime examples of programs where athletes have made the commitment necessary to be successful. |

Congrats to all the SB participants! Great season by all!
High School sports are all about coaching. The schools that have great coaches are good year in and year out. The years they have great talent the great coaches produce great teams.
Poor or mediocre coaches produce poor teams and even with great talent will only produce good or average teams.
Forks is lucky enough to have a great High School coaching staff.
Great season S-VE! |

| I think that what these kids accomplished this year is incredible, and that without a doubt they will continue to succeed as they move up the ladder to the varsity program. |
