*ST. THOMAS BECOMES SECOND SCHOOL IN HISTORY TO WIN BACK-TO-BACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

*St. Thomas goes on the 2nd longest winning streak in NCAA softball history winning 43 games straight. Only the University of Arizona won more consecutive games back in 1995-1996.

*2005 was St. Thomas' eighth play off appearance in the last nine years and 13th in the last 21 years
*The Tommies have won 5 of the last 6 MIAC Titles and are 135-7 versus MIAC foes since Coach Tschida has taken over in 2001. In fact, St. Thomas is 81-0 versus eight of their conference opponents. St. Thomas is 55-1 in its' last 56 games in MIAC play.
