Stirke Zone's very own Vicky Galindo was named to the 2008 USA Olympic Softball Team this morning.. According to Don Ford who spoke with Vicky directly, "she is so excited to be one of the selected 15 in the entire USA to be chosen as it has been her dream since she was 12 years old".

Vicky who has played with Strike Zone since 12U has the passion for the game and you could see it in her eyes and play, even at an early age. She is also the product of Don Ford's power slap hitting style which she has proven very effective in NCCA, and International play.

Vicky's accomplishments:

Strike Zone 12U thru 18 Gold, West Valley Jr. College, University California at Berkeley - 3 time Womens Softball World Series appearances, USA Womens National Softball Team, Womens Pro Softball - Chigago Bandits, California State University San Jose Assistant Softball Coach, 2008 USA Olympic Womens Softball Team.

"We are very proud of Vicky's accomplishments and especially achieving her Dream of being in the Olympics. I have watched Vicky grow up since she was 11 years old. I wish her all the luck in the WOLRD and hope you all will support Vicky as she lives her Dream." Don Ford.....
