Magic 13U Tryouts
Tryouts for our 13U travel team for next season begin in August of 2012. Tryout dates are: Wednesday August 8th 6pm - 9pm, Friday August 10th 6pm - 9pm and Saturday August 11th from 10am - 1pm. Sunday the 19th from 1pm - 4pm is scheduled for a rain out.
Athletes are evaluated by their onfield performance and in various skills areas demonstrated at annual try outs. All athletes must try out each year. The areas that we evaluate performance are on: Throwing, Catching, Running, Hitting, bunting and fielding: (If you are a switch hitter or slap hitter please let us know).
Not all players attending tryouts will be offered a spot on the roster. Rosters typically contain twelve to fourteen players. Players attending tryouts and selected for a team will be notified by the coach. The total cost for participation is $775.00. Players receiving an offer to play must pay a non-refundable $350 commitment fee at the registration meeting, to assure their spot on the team. (Payment plans are available on the remaining balance)
Following selection to a team, players and at least one parent or guardian are required to attend a registration meeting held by September 1st 2012 to meet their teammates, pay fees balances and complete all required paperwork. At this time the parent or guardian needs to provide a copy of the players birth certificate, emergency contact information, and medical insurance information. Anyone who desires to manage or coach a team must indicate so on their registration form. They may also contact the Director of Travel directly to add their name to the list of manager candidates
