Welcome to the Stratford Titans Website!

 The Stratford Titans are a competitive AAU travel baseball club that was originally formed by John Amoroso and Terry Blake in 2004. The Titans began tournament play in 2005 and are now entering their sixth season in 2011 and will play local travel programs and AAU sanctioned tournaments throughout New England. The Titans have been very successful qualifying for the 2005 AAU 10U National Tournament in St Augustine Florida. The Titans have also placed second or third in nearly every local TCS tournament they have entered and won the 2007 Triple Crown "Columbus Day Tournament" in North Branford Ct.

In the fall of 2007, the Titans have initiated the process of aligning their program with Stratford Baseball Association (formerly Stratford PONY Baseball). By joining forces with SBA our primary objective is to give the serious baseball player an opportunity to supplement his local youth league, playing at a higher level, which will in turn help them to become better baseball players. The Titans are not to be considered a replacement for SBA. A successful season is one in which EVERY player improves his fielding, hitting, situational base running and pitching skills regardless of a team's win-loss record.

The Titan program, along with SBA, is dedicated to making a good player into a better ball player. We operate on the premise that talented players are capable of more advanced play. These talented players demand greater skill development which they are not likely to receive in other programs. The Titans coaches strive to give young ball players the opportunity to enhance their athletic skills and work ethic, while having fun playing the game they love.

The Titan program will include winter workouts and preseason conditioning in February and March with tournament play beginning in late March or early April. Playing in these tournaments will give the Titans the opportunity to compete against the best teams in New England.

Titan Philosophy

Playing time is earned, not given. It will be earned by the player's attitude, skill level, determination, commitment to the team and work work ethic. We will have both starters and role players and everyone is expected to put the best interest of the team first
