I just want to thank the coaches and the parents of the stratford thunder fall baseball team. We had a good year and the support of the parents and the dedicated effort of the coaches was beyond my wildest dreams. We may not have won many games but the effort of our kids and the coaches and the parents who were there every game was worth more than any game win can give me and my son. Thanks again for a wonderful year! Mark Mastrone Sr.

Stratford PONY Baseball

Congratulations to the Stratford PONY Bronco East All-Stars. I was very proud to be witness to one of the finest exhibitions of baseball that has come through our organization. The skills and determination thet you displayed during the AAU Tournament are the results of the fine coaching and teaching that you have received, not only by your excellent All-Star coaches, but also by all of your regular season coaches that you have had along the way! Also for those of us who witnessed those fine games in North Branford, we have also come away with a finer appreciation of what we have at Clover Field. To John, Carl and the rest of the Executive Board, here is to a season VERY WELL DONE!! Congratulations to all the All-Stars from every Division and every team. I am so very proud of you all!! Lets win in Norwalk.

Stratford east took 1 more step in it quest to win this 4th of July tournament by playing the CT blaze who defeated the Swansea team on Saturday night in North Branford. Stratford jump out to 6 to 0 lead in the first innings and never looked back defeating the CT blaze 18 to 5 to advance to the championship game against 2 time defending champs Bergen thunder out of Bergen New Jersey. It was a seesaw battle back and forth to the sixth inning with the score tied at six and the thunder up in the top of the sixth scoring 3 runs but Stratford did not go down quietly they scored 1 run and had runners on second and third with 1 out but could not score the final score was Bergen thunder 9 Stratford east 7 . Stratford finished second in the tournament out of 14 teams and qualify to go to Colorado springs and myrtle beach as well as St. augustine Florida. They finish with a 6 and 1 record and should be proud of them selves
Congratulations Stratford East
Matt Salerno
