Welcome back Strafford Indians baseball fans! We have recently updated to this site to give you coverage of the upcoming 2012 baseball season! Offenses dominate as the Strafford Indians outscore Ash Grove 19-9
Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Strafford Indians outscored Ash Grove 19-9 in five innings.
Hitters on both sides were strong at the plate as the teams combined for 23 hits, including seven extra base hits.
The biggest inning for the Strafford Indians was the fourth. Ash Grove had no answer as the Strafford Indians scored 13 runs.
Brady Taylor racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Strafford Indians. Taylorsingled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.
Ash Grove jumped out to an early lead, but it was unable to hang on. Ash Grove was up until the fourth inning, but the Strafford Indians had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a home run by Jacob Wade.
C Wood had a strong game at the plate for Ash Grove. Wood went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. Wood singled in the third and fifth innings.
The Strafford Indians hammered Ash Grove pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
Jacob Shoemaker tossed two innings of relief without allowing a run, striking out three while giving up one hit and no walks.
