Profile: Larry was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004.
He began his career as a referee in 1964 with the C.Y.C. and Khoury Leagues. Joined the MSHSAA in 1972 and worked High School soccer games until 2001. Served as the Rules Interpreter for twenty years and is currently the Referee Observer for High School Boys and Girls soccer. Larry has refereed eight High School Championship games.
Began officiating College games in 1973 with NISOA and retired in 1999 after twenty seven seasons. Larry worked the Division I National Championship game in 1991 and has worked seven other Final Four games, including two Division III National Championships and two NAIA National Championships, one Division II Semi-Final and one NJCAA National Championship. Larry was selected as the Referee for the 1989 Senior Bowl .
Larry has worked two National Finals for USSF Open and Amateur Cups in 1989 and 1990. He also worked as an Assistant Referee in the MISL for ten years and was a Referee for the AISA for four years.
Overall Larry has worked 15 Division I tournaments, 10 Division II tournaments, 8 Division III tournaments,
2 NAIA tournaments and 16 Conference tournaments during his career.
Larry received the Silver Boot Award from the C.Y.C. in 2002 and was selected as the Referee of the Year in 2000 by the National Federation Officials Association.
Larry is also a member of the Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
