St. Louis Soccer HOF: The Executive Board
Doggie
Earl "Doggie" Doggendorf
Committee

Earl "Doggie" Doggendorf
Position: Committee
Profile: For over a half century Doggie has been involved in every aspect of Soccer and at every level. A great goalkeeper is always in demand. This explains why Doggie won championships with 6 different teams. Some of his teams were Sts. Mary & Joseph, Schumacher, USMC, Spanish Society and CSMAC. He was on numerous All Star teams playing against our Olympic Team, Meidrich (Germany) and Glasgow Celtics.
Doggie was also a successful coach for many teams including the Spanish Society. Doggie's dedication to Soccer is best seen in his willingness to work behind the scenes. He wanted to make sure the young kickers after him would experience the fun and competitiveness of this great game. He has been the Commissioner for the St. Louis Soccer League, Missouri Amatuer Cup, Missouri Open Cup, Missouri Eastern District and a Missouri Delegate to the USSFA.
As Missouri State Soccer Commissioner he was instrumental in bringing "Pele" to St. Louis and was his official escort during his visit. Doggie won the Walter Geisler Award and in 2007 was awarded the Gold Boot. Maybe his most amazing accomplishment is that a guy named Doggendorf is a member of the Spanish Society Hall of Fame.
