Leo Sanders
Position: Committee
Profile: Leo was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame in 1985. A Retired Lt. Col. in the US Army and a Holy Trinity product, Leo started his Soccer career in the 1930's with Strodtman Realtors in the Muny League. He then went to the professional league with Hellrung & Grimm, Beltmar Drugs and Champions Raftery-Egans in 1941. During World War II, Leo played and coached Soccer for the Army in India. He rejoined the Raftery's after the war, before playing and coaching at Holy Trinity of the CYC. He has served as Secretary and is currently on the Governing Committee of the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. Leo is a recipient of the Msgr. Jimmy Johnson Award and is a true ambassador to the great sport of Soccer.
