'92's place 4th in MD's 8th grade Christmas Tournament
After placing 2d out of 5 teams in their pool, the girls lost two tough games in the final round to finish in 4th place. They lost to the 91 Gameface team 32-23 in the first game and then lost the third place game in a heartbreaker, 30-29 to the 8th grade Incarnate Word Red Knights. Congratulations to the girls for giving their all against the older teams.

Crusaders win Jets Hoop Wars 2004 Championship
The Crusaders won the Jets Hoop Wars Championship with a thrilling 29-26 victory over the host Jets team. The Crusaders girls also won games over the St. Louis Rockets and the MBA Select team from Indiana. Congratulations to Dannie DeMoulin, E-Square Esslinger, Kelley Gravlin, Bree McCullough, Alanna Nacar, Jamie Oppelt, May Paquette, Meg Riley, Itty Sinclair (sank the winning free throw), Carissa Richardson (first time out with the team), KT Thomas, Alicia Ubraico.
Crusaders Defend Regional Championship

The St. Louis Crusaders 11U girls AAU basketball team successfully defended their Ozark Regional Championship by defeating the SW Illinois Jets in the final game of the championship by the score of 33-27 at Ft. Zumwalt High School. Coached by Butch Rosier, Jim Riley and Craig McCullough the Crusaders played over 60 games since September in preparation for the Regional Championships, including an exhibition game during halftime of the St. Louis University Billikens and Memphis Tigers game in February. The Crusaders team consists of girls born in 1992 and 1993 from all over the area including North, South and West St. Louis County, Franklin County and St. Louis City. The team members are: Danielle DeMoulin, Liz Esslinger, Kelley Gravlin, Elle Kiely, Julia Kohnen, Breanna McCullough, Jamie Oppelt, Mireille Paquette, Meg Riley, Elizabeth Sinclair, Katie Thomas, Alicia Ubriaco, Frankie Vain, and Heidi Weisbrod.
Winning the Regional Championship qualifies the girls to attend the AAU National Championships, which will be held in Kenner, LA in early July. The girls have already started preparing for the trip with extra practices and more games. Last year, the team joined almost 100 other teams at Disneys Wide World of Sports in Florida where they played teams from Maryland, Ohio, Arkansas, Tennessee, Washington DC and New Hampshire finishing 25th in the Nation.
