Sponsorship

Dear Potential Sponsor(s),

My name is Laurie Ferreira and I recently accepted the position of Fundraiser/Sponsorship Coordinator with Stilly Valley Little League, a 501(c) nonprofit organization. I currently have two children in the baseball program and know first hand how this organization has helped to enrich our family’s lives. In addition to bonding us to our community within and around the City of Arlington, my children have learned to improve their social skills, increase their self-confidence and gain an understanding of the value of teamwork. The Little League Organization is valuable to the enhancement of our community. It plays a vital role in the development of our youth, teaching them the value of teamwork and community involvement. The Little League Organization is the largest organized sports program for children. Even though the organization has been in existence for over 60 years, its goal remains the same, “Give the children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles (sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork) they can use later in life to become good citizens” (http://www.littleleague.org). Stilly Valley Little League provides a safe and nurturing environment for our children to develop the skills they’ll need to cope with the successes and failures that life will throw at them.

This volunteer driven organization is reliant upon the community and its success is dependent upon the generosity of its members. We currently have just over 800 boys and girls in the Stilly Valley Little League program. As Arlington and its neighboring communities continue to grow, we expect the number of children enrolled in the program to increase. As a result, our goals this year encompass the expansion and improvement of our playing fields and facilities. Specifically, we will be constructing a new softball field and a permanent concession stand at Quake Field. Additionally, we hope to improve the condition of our batting cages and storage facility.   This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the community and gain recognition for your company’s involvement in organized sports for our youth. Each year, we continue to make small improvements that have a sizable impact on our organization, increasing exposure and recognition for our sponsors. Should you decide to pursue this offer, please complete the enclosed application. Your completed application and donation can be mailed to the above address.

I thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration of our request. Should you be unable to become a sponsor, perhaps you would consider a contribution of your choice to our general donation fund.  Sincerely,Laurie FerreiraFundraiser/Sponsorship CoordinatorStilly Valley Little League.

Sincerely,

Laurie FerreiraFundraiser/Sponsorship CoordinatorStilly Valley Little League
