St. Helena Little League: 2018 Season Divisions

Little League Divisions:
There is some overlap in ages for Little League Divisions. The best placement for players is the level suited for their skill, experience, and age-- so they can shine!    Please refer to the League Age Charts for Baseball and Softball on the "Handouts" page to determine your player's League Age.

Coach Pitch Baseball - Player Ages 6-7
The Coach Pitch division is a fun, developmental division for those with a bit of baseball experience or new to the game completely. Pitches are delivered by the coach under hand or over hand to the batters based on their ability. Players Age: 6-7

Super Rookies - Player Ages 7-9
Super Rookies is an intermediate division between Coach Pitch and Minors Baseball / Softball. Pitches are thrown from a pitching machine. Players Age: 7-9.

Minor Baseball - Player Ages 8-11
The Minors division expects players to have a good knowledge of the game so that the focus will be on learning positions and improving baseball skills. Players who are League Age 8 years old must be evaluated at one of the two Evaluation Days to be eligible for play on a Minor division team. Players Age: 8-10

Minors Softball - Player Ages 8-11
The Minors division expects players to have a good knowledge of the game so that the focus will be on learning positions and improving softball skills. Players who are League Age 8 years old must be evaluated at one of the two Evaluation Days to be eligible for play on a Minor division team. Players Age: 8-10

Major Baseball - Player Ages 10-12
This is the traditional Little League Baseball age division. Games are competitive, but fun remains the biggest goal. All players eligible for this division must be evaluated at one of the two Evaluation Days scheduled to be drafted to a Major Division team. Players Age: 10-12

Majors Softball - Player Ages 10-12
This is the traditional Little League Baseball age division. Games are competitive, but fun remains the biggest goal. All players eligible for this division must be evaluated at one of the two Evaluation Days scheduled to be drafted to a Major Division team. Players Age: 10-12

Juniors Baseball - Player Ages 12-14
The Junior Division plays their games on a full size baseball diamond. Experience and dedication is taken to the next level in this division. This age group bridges the gap between Little League and High School Baseball. Players Age: 12-14

Juniors Softball - Player Ages 12-14
The Junior Division plays their games at the High School Softball Field. Experience and dedication is taken to the next level in this division. This age group bridges the gap between Little League and High School Softball. Players Age: 12-14
