The Southern Tier Hockey Association is a Youth Hockey Organization located in the Southern Tier of New York State.  We offer both House and Competitive Tier II Travel Programs ranging from Mini-Mites through Midgets, ages 4 to 18.

2015-2016 TRAVEL TEAM TRYOUTS


T
he STHA will be holding tryouts for the 2015-2016 Mite thru 18U Travel Teams at the Chenango Ice Rink on April 11th and April 18th.

   All STHA registered players in good standing are invited to tryout for the Travel Team in their particular age group.  To be in good standing, the player, and any family members, must have met all previous financial obligations to the STHA including the return of travel jerseys.  The fee for tryout participation will be $20 (flat fee covers one or both days).

SPRING SKILLS CLINIC FOR CURRENT SQUIRTS AND PEE WEES

The STHA will be running a Spring Skills Clinic for current Squirts and Peewee players starting in March.
The Skills clinic will be an eight session clinic for an hour and a half. This will include high intensity and high energy player skill development, body contact and have a goalie clinic too( if enough goalie's show interest).
Note: this clinic is now full.
 The clinic will be at CIR on these dates and times:

NYSAHA BOB ALLEN SCHOLARSHIPS

 

In June of 2000 the New York State Amateur Hockey Association named their scholarships after its long time President and Director Emeritus, Bob Allen. Each year at the Annual Meeting of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association four scholarships are awarded to High School or Prep School Seniors going on to college. The scholarships are awarded based on the individuals participation at school, with their community, and involvement in youth sports. The Scholarships are for $1000 each and given directly to the winners upon verification of enrollment at college.

SIHA Summer 2015 Clinic

SIHA 2015 SUMMER CLINICS

 The Sport International Hockey Academy will be returning to The Chenango Ice Rink, July 20 – 24 & August 24 - 28/2015 for two exciting 40 hour summer hockey camps (ages 6 – 17 yrs. (all players grouped by age and ability)).  SIHA is entering their 26th year of hockey instruction, conducting summer camps in 33 locations. 

 

 

“The Sport International Philosophy is "Total Hockey", with the accent on skill repetition and highly energized, originally designed drills. Sport International is a fast paced program, perfect for any level of hockey player. Maximum Athletic Performance at Binghamton University

 

Maximum Athletic Performance at Binghamton University is a program for boys and girls aged 13 to 18 geared to improve overall athletic ability. Attendees will be trained in strength training, core strength, flexibility, and agility/speed drills. Sessions run from mid May until the end of August and December through February. PLEASE NOTE!!

 

Any member wishing to purchase customized warm up suits, sweatshirts, shirts or other items that contain the Binghamton Senator Branding shall obtain approval from the STHA Equipment Director prior to placing any orders to ensure appropriate license requirements are met.  Binghamton Senators merchandise, including Binghamton Jr. Senators merchandise, is only available through authorized dealers.  The STHA Equipment Director shall seek approval of the Binghamton Senators if their branding is being requested.
