    FRIDAY NIGHT HOCKEY LEAGUE

Friday Night Hockey League is back and will start Friday, July 19th.  The league is open to all kids playing at the Dyno, Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, and 16U levels in the 2012/2013 hockey season.  For more information and the application click here.

Application with payment must be received by June 18th.

2013-2014 TRAVEL TEAM ROSTERS

All 2013-2014 Travel Team Rosters have been posted on the Travel Information page. 

Anyone with questions regarding the tryout and/or selection process is asked to contact the STHA VP of Travel, Todd Macan.

PENN STATE HOCKEY CAMP

Penn State is hosting an Instructional Camp for Bantams and Peewees, an Advanced High School Camp, an Elite High School Camp and the USA Hockey/Mid-Am Select 13 Development Camp. In addition to these camps they are also offering for the first time two High School Position Specific Camps that follow each of our previously stated high school camps.

 

Your student-athletes will have access to exceptional facilities, both on-ice and off-ice, and an outstanding staff from various Colleges, Professional organizations, Prep Schools and Junior teams. Penn State offers a premium destination for the individual development of your student-athletes.

SOUTHERN TIER GOALIE SCHOOL

A goalie clinic will be hosted at the Chenango Ice Rink on July 16-19th, 2013 with instruction provided by Assistant Coach of the Binghamton Senators, Matt Meacham.  Vaughn Custom Sports will provide jerseys.

ASPIRATIONS AND GOALS HOCKEY CAMP

The Skaneateles YMCA is sponsoring a hockey camp August 4-5 and 11-12 for players and goalies aged 10+.  Keith Buehler (Wesleyan University) and Packy Jones (Nazareth College), both alumni of Skaneateles Varsity Hockey, will teach players the difference between goals and aspirations, draw connections between nutrition, off-ice conditioning, work ethic and how the choices they make socially can effect player development.

The following awards were announced at the Sponsor's and Coaches Appreciation dinner on Wednesday February 26th, 2013:

• Don Franck Award - Brian Nestlerode

Awarded to an individual that has served for ten or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Don Franck is one of the original founders of the STHA, which started at Quaker Lake. He played and coached in the STHA and also served on the Board.

• Ramo Folli Award - Randy Warner

Awarded to an individual that has served for five or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Ramo Folli was also instrumental in forming the STHA and worked in many capacities for the organization.

• Cliff Hunter Award - Jon Klenovic

Awarded to the Coach of the Year. This goes to a coach who exemplifies the true meaning of coaching in all aspects of the game. Coaching ability, team spirit, leadership, rapport with parents and players are all qualities of this recipient. Cliff Hunter was an exceptional coach in the STHA who exhibited all of the mentioned qualities of a coach for years in the STHA.

• Special Service Awards - Awards for individuals that have provided contributions to the STHA during the season.

BINGHAMTON SENATORS LICENSE REMINDER

PLEASE NOTE!!

Any member wishing to purchase customized warm up suits, sweatshirts, shirts or other items that contain the Binghamton Senator Branding shall obtain approval from the STHA Equipment Director prior to placing any orders to ensure appropriate license requirements are met.  Binghamton Senators merchandise, including Binghamton Jr. Senators merchandise, is only available through authorized dealers.  The STHA Equipment Director shall seek approval of the Binghamton Senators if their branding is being requested.
