Stewarton finally went ahead in the last chukka but in the last minute of the game, Karina Bowlby suffered a bad fall after a Reivers player came into her horse at a sharp angle sending her flying from the horse. This fall which was just sixty yards from the Reivers goal could have easily led to them tieing the game, if she had not recovered to finish it. As it was Karina was able to get back on and the Reivers were just prevented from knocking in the goal, giving Stewarton the win.
