Pee-Wees
4 year olds start in our co-ed Pee-Wee division. The instructional sessions are to teach the children the fumdamentals and to have a lot of fun. These sessions will take place on Saturday mornings at Birchwood Elementary School located on Wolf Hill Road.
Micros
As the children advance from the PeeWee program, they are placed in the Micros. They play small sided games on a micro-soccer field. All games are played for fun and no standings are kept. The games are at Birchwood Elementary School on Wolf Hill Road. The games will take place on Saturdays.
Lower Division
This division is co-ed for first and second graders. The children play on a small field. The emphasis is on teaching skills, positions and team work. Coaches usually practice once a week with games being played on Saturdays. The games are played at Birchwood Elementary School on Wolf Hill Road. Game times are between 9:00am and 2:00pm and no standings are kept. A uniform is required and can be purchased at Soccer Magic.
Interleague
Interleague is a recreational soccer program that plays through the Suffolk Soccer Interleague (see"Links" link) with the goal of giving all Suffolk County soccer Clubs the opportunity to field teams in older age groups to play organized scrimmages between each others players. There are currently over 275 teams from at least 35 different soccer clubs participating in the program.
The emphasis of the program is FUN & learning. There are NO standings kept, and a five-goal differential maximum. The rules are based on FIFA Laws of the Game with modifications (see "Rules" link), to create a safer learning environment for the kids and to promote fair play, sportsmanship, and increased playing time.
LIJSL Travel
Travel teams play under South Huntington Soccer. The teams play in the Long Island Junior Soccer League where they are placed in a division based on the teams record and abilities. Travel teams work hard to advance their skills and knowledge of the game. Playing other towns travel teams makes for fun and provides a competitive atmosphere. The key to travel is the commitment made by the players and their parents. Travel teams typically range from under 10 years old (U-10) through under 17 years old (U-17). Tryouts for travel teams take place after the Spring season
TOPSoccer
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a soccer program designed to meet the needs of children with physical and/or mental disabilities. This program consists of a one hour weekly clinic involving fun drills and a small sided scrimmage. Teams are created based on ability not age. This program is for any child, age 4-18, who cannot particiapate on a regular team. Clinic is held on Saturdays.
