Welcome to the Lehigh Valley Steel Lacrosse Club
The Steel lacrosse teams are an elite level summer travel lacrosse program for boys in grades 9 through 12. Our organization is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. We play four tournaments each summer and one or two in the fall. We play in tournaments from Baltimore and Philadelphia to Long Island and upstate NY.
The 2009 teams will compete at the following levels: U18A, U18B, U16, 7th & 8th Grade Team(KSG).

Lehigh LaxFest weather policy
This is taken directly from the the Lehigh LaxFest website: 1) Weather Policy: There is no “rain date” for this event. Ath-Ed will not cancel thetournament due to weather. In the event of lightning, games will bestopped for a period of time, and will continue when the threat clears.
Thursday, June 18
Practice Thursday Cancelled
Practice for Thursday has been cancelled for the U-16 & U-18 teams. Both teams will practice Friday at 6 PM @ Troxell Field. The Middle School team will practice Friday from 5:30 -7:30 PM at Orefield Middle School.
If you have not turned in your check for $300, a copy of your birth certificate, and the waiver for the Lehigh Laxfest, please bring all three to Friday's practice.
The schedule for this weekend is up on the Lehigh Laxfest Website. The Middles School team is listed as LV Steel Black. The U-16 team is listed as LV Steel Blue, and the U-18 team is listed as LV Steel White.
Wednesday, June 17
Practice For Middle School Team Cancelled
Practice for the Middle School team for Wednesday, June 17th has been cancelled. The next practice will be Friday, June 19th from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM at Orefield Middle School. This is the same field where tryouts were held.
Practice for the U-18 team will go on as scheduled, weather permitting. 6 PM at Troxell Middle School. If the weather turns ugly, please check your e-mail and this website.

Steel Tournament Fees
Now that all three Steel teams have been selected, it is time to begin collecting the tournament fees. All three teams are currently scheduled to play 3 tournaments this summer.
The tournament fee for each player is $300. This covers the Keystone Games for the middle school team only. Those players who made the high school Keystone team will play in 4 tournaments, and will be asked to contribute an additional $100 when practice starts for the Keystone Games. The fee also includes shorts and a game/practice jersey.
Please bring a check made out to Lehigh Valley Steel/Dan Dolphin to practice one day this week. Thank you for your continued support of the Steel program.

Due to a conflict, practice for the Middle School team will be Tuesday, June 16, Wednesday, June 17 & Friday, June 19. All practices will begin at 6:30 PM @ Troxell Middle School.

Middle School Steel/Keystone Team Selected
The following players have been named to the Lehigh Valley Steel Middle School U-15 team. This team will also represent the Lehigh Valley in the middle school division of the Keystone Games.
We will practice Tuesday, June 16 & Thursday, June 18 in preparation for theis weekend's Lehigh Laxfest tournament. Both practices will be at Troxell Middle School on Cedar Crest Blvd. and start at 6:30 PM.

Finally!! Tryout dates summer of 2009
Sorry Lacrosse fans. Due to the new extended PIAA season we had to wait until Emmaus finished their very successful season. Congratulations to the Green Hornets. Now let's get started with the summer programs. The times for the Steel and Keystone teams tryouts are as follows: The U-16 tryouts will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, June 6th at J Birney Crum Stadium (Allen's home field) The U-18 and Keystone tryouts will be held at 4 PM. Same day, same location, J Birney Crum Stadium. There will be two or three teams at this level. The Keystone team will be one of them. Player's making the Keystone team are invited to participate in the U18A Steel team as well. Middle school Steel/Keystone teams will be held this Wednesday evening, June 3rd at 6 PM at Orefield Middle School. Players should arrive about 30 minutes before the scheduled times to register. At that time we will be discussing the summer schedule for all teams.
