Eagle Soccer: Welcome

Welcome to the St. Edith Soccer Web Site ! We compete in the West-Suburban Division of the Catholic Youth Organization. We strive to be the best we can be individually and as a team. The coaching staff is committed to teaching the game of soccer and providing an environment where the concepts of "good sportsmanship", "character" and Christian values are held in high regard.
The Eagle Soccer Classic Happens each year in August as a pre-season soccer tournament for area CYO teams. Games are played at Ladywood HS.

Alison Szczypka, Western Michigan, Forward
Freshman, Novi, Mich. (Ladywood/St. Edith)
Szczypka scored the game-winning goal against Kent State in the 67th minute in Friday's game at Kent. She followed that performance by heading in the game-winning goal against Buffalo on Sunday in the 25th minute. Szczypka's two game-winning goals gave the WMU its first winning streak of the season and first two road wins of the season.
Monday, September 14
On Saturday, September 12 the boys faced St. Val's. The Eagels quickly went up 4-0 on the Volts. Then, the Volts starting coming back by putting 2 goals in on the Eagles. The Eagles were able to turn them back by adding two more goals to their lead to put the game away.
The Boys played their second game of the season on Sunday, Sept 13. They faced OLGC. The Crusaders quickly went up 1-0 on the Eagles in the first minutes of the game. The Eagles were able to tie the game just before the half. In the second half the Eagles began to take control and eventually put in two goals to cement their second win of the season.
