Coaches Training is again planned with opening day. which is April 10th. We want to thank our trainer Sheri Huckleberry who has indicated she can assist us. We will also try to give some training to parents and our u-6 and u-8 coaches. She is the State Technical trainer for NSCAA.
Capstone 4 v 4 2010 is scheduled for the weekend of June 25 and 26.year.
Our Steak Fry is scheduled for Saturday May 15th at the Rotary Pavillion in Memorial Park. Please thank Manager John Mitchell who has sponsored the Steak Fry for 8 years and has again agreed to sponsor this steak fry.
The DeNobles have been contracted to finish the fireplace this Spring. We will continue to seek donations to fully fund this project. Our thanks to Capstone Holding Co for their dedication and donations to our project including the field earth moving and field preparation.
The St Clairsville Area Soccer Association welcomes you to the Capstone Soccer Complex. . The Barbecue has been finished. The landscaping around the shelter has been completed and we anticipate the Shelter fireplace will soon be completed. There is still a walking trail to be completed when fields and shelter are done. We are looking for a sponsor for this $45,500 project. Rick Ferrell has coordinated the building of the Rotary Soccer Pavilion and it is a real tribute to the volunteer efforts of those in the community. Please thank Rick for all of his hard work. The shelter will formally be known as the Capstone Rotary Shelter in honor of the gift the noon Rotary has given the Soccer Association. Rentals on the shelter will handled by Rick Ferrell (695-1995)
If you would like to take a look at the soccer complex - take the Morristown 213 exit off of RT 70 W, and turn south on Airport Rd (County Road 82). The complex is 2 and 1/4 miles south from Route 40 on the right side.
The development fund drive continues and we encourage anyone who wishes to help with cash or in kind donations to contact the Association. We are a private non-profit entity with opportunities for naming rights to commemorate gifts,(including fields). A Second Bang Board is planned and advertisers are being sought for the front of the board. The back of the 1st and 2nd boards will be painted and used for skill training and games(1st Board is now Painted for player games on the back). We thank the advertisers for their support that allows us to pay for the field maintenance materials.
