2007 Houston NQ Photos
The Colorado Stars Gold - Burns finished 13 out of 56 teams at the Houston National Qualifier this last weekend. They finished the tournament 4-2 in some very hot and humid conditions.
These teams qualified:

The TX Hawks did not qualify but they stayed undefeated until the very end. We lost our first game to a very, very good team.

Stars Win Pikes Peak Invitational (Click Here)
The 18U Colorado Stars-Burns completed play for the month of April with a 26-3 season record. The Stars finished first in the Mizuno Pikes Peak Invitational played in Colorado Springs the weekend of April 28th - 29th, going undefeated in both pool and bracket play. In tournament play the Stars defeated the DC Jets 14-0, the Colorado Comets 10-0, and the Colorado Quicksilver
6-0.
The Stars won the tournament with strong pitching, giving up only three total hits in the three tournament games. The offensive attack was by far the best it has been this season, and while every player made significant contributions, special notice should be given to Lara Mathewson whose .818 average on Sunday (9 hits in eleven at bats) led the way. The Stars will next play in the Pony Express Tournament in Aurora, the weekend of May 4th - 6th.
